6th Class pupil, Yusra, from Mr. Lennon’s Class, represented St. Mary’s at the Spelling Bee County Final in Mullingar recently. Yusra had some tough competition on the day, but thankfully her dedication, preparation and hard work paid off. Yusra received a hero’s welcome on her return to St. Mary’s. There was great excitement when the news filtered back to St. Mary’s about her success in Mullingar. 6th Class greeted and cheered Yusra on with a guard of honour, banners and balloons. Congratulations Yusra on your great success. The whole school community are very proud of your amazing achievement. Thanks to Mr. Downey for organising the in-school Spelling Bee competition and also helping Yusra with her preparations. We wish Yusra every success in the Spelling Bee Leinster Final in May.
