St. Mary’s N.S. were delighted to be one of the chosen schools to attend the Cinéaltas Showcase Event which was organised by the Department of Education on September 25th in Croke Park. Three 6th class students attended the event, along with teachers Ms. Skehill and Mr. Grace.
The students presented the many ways St. Mary’s N.S. promote Anti-Bullying and Wellbeing strategies through various initiatives, such as Anti-Bullying Week, Intercultural Week, Children’s Mental Health Week and Friendship Day. St. Mary’s N.S. also has very active committees such as the Amber Flag and Student Council committees who assist the school to ensure St. Mary’s is a safe and happy place for all.
The Minister for Education Norma Foley was in attendance at the event and congratulated the students on all the wonderful initiatives that St. Mary’s N.S. engage in.
