Tree Day 2017 in 3rd Class

3rd Class – Ms. Egan

This year Ms Egan’s class learnt a lot about our native trees, by going on a nature walk
and also planting our very own tree!
As part of this year’s campaign, over 1,000 native tree saplings were made available for
primary schools to help teach children about the importance of planting trees and to
improve biodiversity on the school grounds. Ms Egan’s class were lucky enough to
receive one of these saplings which happened to be an oak sapling. The children looked
after it really well and re plated it into a bigger pot until its ready to be planted
outside.
