St. Mary’s celebrated Maths Week from the 16th – 20th October 2023. The whole school was a hive of activity with all classes participating in fun, engaging, interactive and collaborative group Maths activities. Please see below pictures for a taster of all the activities we were involved in. A great week was had by everyone! 1st Class making 2D Shape Monsters, playing Maths Bingo, going on a shape hunt and building structures with shapes.

2nd Class had super fun on their outdoor Maths Trail, having fun with tangrams, 2D Monster Mash creations, hands on games, Maths Week TV interactive session & quiz!

4th Class got the opportunity to attend a Maths Workshop at TUS, Athlone. This was very enjoyable for all pupils and provided pupils with fun, interactive rich learning experiences for Maths Week. 4th Class also had great fun making lines and angles with their bodies, as well as other fun Maths games!

6th Class participated in a variety of activities to celebrate Maths Week 2023. Some of these activities included a Maths Trail, Number Facts Relays, 3D Construction and Dice Games!
