Mr. Lennon’s 6th Class Visit Luan Art Gallery

On January 29th, Mr. Lennon’s 6th class visited the Luan Art Gallery. The gallery is known for its collection of various art exhibitions with an opportunity to explore and engage with the tour guide.

When they arrived, the pupils were given a chance to explore different artworks. The gallery featured a wide range of art from abstract to more detailed and realistic works.

Charlotte, the tour guide, provided the students with a guided tour of the art work and sculptures from local artists.

A man from Ireland who had relocated to England had sent in a variety of photos that represented the map of Ireland! Pictures of things such as food, spills, shadows and so on were present! This was really interesting because a lot of these items were all found in his home or outside and was really random!

Each artwork told its own unique story and the pupils were asked to study the details, colours and textures closely.

During the visit, the pupils were asked to select a piece of artwork and try their hardest to draw it, including all of the details and shading. This exercise not only helped the students practice their drawing skills, but also allowed them to connect with the artwork in a deeper and personal level! Making this experience both educational and inspiring.

In the days after, pupils studied the genre of report writing. Each pupil wrote a report about the trip.

This report was written by Abigail from Mr. Lennon’s Class.
